Richard Pryce Hampton, age 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2021. Richard, a Navy veteran, was born on April 27, 1941 to Raymond and Phyllis Hampton. He graduated from Pennsbury Senior High School in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1959, Penn State University in 1966, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois in 1969. Richard sang in the Atonement Gospel Quartet and taught Sunday School and youth groups. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 2005. Richard’s talents were many, including his enjoyment of building and fixing things, his expertise in mechanical work, and his rich baritone voice. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Richard also had a fondness for aviation. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Phyllis Hampton, and brother, Thomas Hampton. Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Hampton (Michael), son David Hampton and his wife, Melanie, son Jeffrey Hampton and his wife, Donna, and seven grandchildren: Ashley, Aaron, Cole, Elise, Hope, Julia and Allie. He will be greatly missed and was loved by so many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan’s Purse at samaritanspurse.org in his name. A celebration of life will be held in April.
