It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Connor Ray Gillespie, 27, of Taylor Mill. He was born August 23, 1994 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Daniel Ray Gillespie and Kelly (Reibling) Breen. He attended St. Anthony elementary followed by Holy Cross High School and graduated in 2013. He attended Northern Kentucky University and graduated with dual degrees in Finance and Accounting. Connor owned a very successful lawn care and landscaping business that he started in high school. He also worked for Bowling Lawn Care. He had an unparalleled work ethic for a young man. Connor loved the outdoors and was most at peace when he was surrounded by nature. Connor had a beautiful smile and kind heart that warmed the lives of those around him. Connor will be forever remembered for his generosity of spirit and love for others. He would help anyone in need and always gave a hand to others. Connor is survived by his parents Daniel and Kelly; his stepfather Eugene Breen, his brothers Dustin and Tanner, his sister Haley, and his stepsisters Amanda Breen and Kelly Breen. He also leaves his paternal grandfather, James Ray Gillespie; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Joanne Thompson. He is survived by his paternal Aunt Holly Gillespie and maternal Uncle Ken Prost and Aunt Danielle (Mesler) Prost and cousins Jonah and Atticus Prost. A Celebration of Life will be held at Devou Park, Stone Shelter, Covington Kentucky on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 4pm. The Stone Shelter can be found along Montague Road. Please feel free to wear casual attire as that is what Connor always preferred. Also, bring your favorite pictures and stories to share as we will welcome guests to speak. Connor’s favorite music, memories, and foods will be served as we celebrate the time we were so very blessed to have with him. In lieu of flowers, if you would like, please bring plants that can be replanted or donations that the family will donate to a Mental Health cause to be announced at a later time.
