Obituary of Joseph Schulte
Park Hills -- Joseph Donald Schulte, 93, died Thursday, May 10th at his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara McCoy Schulte. They had been married for 57 years.
Survivors including his 5 children -- Michelle Loos(Jack), Mark Schulte(Beth), Joseph Schulte, Michael Schulte(Debra), Gregg Schulte(Terrie), 13 grandchildren, 8 1/2 great grandchildren, and his brother Bob.
Joe served in World War II under General Patton in the 3rd army, 99th infantry. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge, Battle for Remagen Bridge, and helped liberate the concentration camp at Dachau, and received three bronze stars and a purple heart during his service. He then attended the University of Cincinnati, where he received his degree in Pharmacology, and with his two brothers, founded 3 branches of Schulte's Pharmacy in Northern Kentucky.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. - Noon, Thursday, May 17 at Mother of God Church, 119 West 6th St., Covington, Ky 41011 with funeral mass following. Burial will be at St. Mary's cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Ky. Don Catchen & Son Funeral Homes, Elsmere assisting the Family
