Obituary of Noble W McCoy
Noble William McCoy, 71, passed away on June 2, 2020. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 29, 1948. Orphaned after the early demise of both parents , he and his younger brother were separated from older siblings and institutionalized for a time. After the news reached her, the boys’ grandmother, Gustina Jackson retrieved and raised them in Northern Kentucky. Noble was a graduate of Holmes High School and attended the Ohio College of Applied Science before apprenticing and gaining journeyman status as a sheet metal worker. In the mid-80’s he found skilled trades employment with Ford Motor Company, from where he retired in 2007. In August 1970, he married Juanita (Blunt) McCoy. Together they raised 3 children in Edgewood, Ky. He shared his love of travel and reading(mostly Sci Fi and Historical Nonfiction) with his family and could be counted upon for encouragement in his steady baritone voice. He is preceded In death by his parents Noble and Geneva McCoy. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Juanita, his siblings David McCoy, Sam Shoemake and Bernice Tolbert, 1 son (Jason), 2 daughters, 2 sons in-law and 2 grandchildren. During these days of pandemic, for the protection of both the healthy and those most vulnerable, there will not be a memorial service. The family thanks you for the kind expressions of sympathy during our bereavement.
