My dad there is no way to sum up what a great loss or person he was his life in a book would have to have sequels. He was a kind beautiful soul who never saw the bad in people and would always try and help when he could. He was a happy man who if he thought he upset you would try and make you laugh, He didn't get upset easy but liked a good argument but for me he was my best friend we both knew we would be there for each other if we needed it. There are so many great things I could say about him for family if I was to say cheezer cheezer and meatzer meatzer you know how dad would make us order from little Cesar's because he didn't want to say it & many other funny stories, But I guess the main thing i would say is that I was lucky that I had him my whole life and that I had the privilege of calling him my dad and how alot of me takes after him I wish I could have had more time but I am grateful for the time I did. I know he is with his brothers, sisters and parents again and they are all making where they are a funnier place but the day he passed a piece of the beauty in this world died that day and it will never be the same. He was am amazing person and he left a mark on all who knew him and he will be missed greatly love you dad crissy

Ross was a long-time employee of Varland Metal Service (now Varland Plating). He started with the company in November 1983 and worked as a Plater until he retired in January 2013, at the top of our seniority list. He was a very dedicated employee who took great pride in his work. We still have many current employees who worked with Ross, were friends with him, and knew him well. I worked with Ross the entire time he was with our company. We remember him with great fondness and will miss him. Ross Varland President, Varland Plating Co.
