Robert Lee Tomlinson Born May 25th, 1938 (84 yrs. in May 2022) Died February 18th, 2022 Place of Birth: Somerset, Ky Parents: Minnie Bell Loveless and Herbert Clayton Tomlinson both have preceded him in death. Siblings: An older sister Beatrice: deceased, two younger brothers Jerry and Howard who died at an early age: and two older half brothers Gene and Matthew who are also deceased. There are many Nieces and Nephews, Bea’s children, still living who love Uncle Bob dearly. In-laws: Bertha and Frank Denham both deceased, were as his own parents to him, also. Bob as we all know him, is married to Leetha Elizabeth Tomlinson, and as of November 2, 2021 they were married 63 long but wonderful years. Bob and Lee have one child Meleetha Charlene Tomlinson/Brown. They took in three boys later in life to give them a home Keith, Willie and Tony (Brandi) Barrett. Tony has remained close to Bob and has spent a lot of time with him. Bob has four granddaughters that he circled his life around. Jena Brown, Laura (Joel) Steele, Sara (Zac) Brown/Schmitz, and Olivia (Sam) Houston. Tony also has a daughter Samantha Barrett that loved her grandpa and he loved her. There is also: Ashlyn, Ryan, Skylar who have remained in their grandpa’s life also. As we all know Children’s Children is a crown but when the Great Grandchildren came along his world was turned upside down. His bedroom and some parts of the house we wallpapered with their pictures. The greatest Joy in his later years was the birth of Temperance Rose Steele, Jedidiah Robert (his name’s sake) Steele, and Malachi Harold Steele. Robert Lee Tomlinson was in the Army and is a Proud United States Veteran. He stood firm on his oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. He flew his Flag proudly and never forgot what this country meant to him and what he was willing to fight for. He had Pastored the Covington Baptist Temple for 25 years dedicating his life to the ministry and being a servant of God. He was always thanking God for his Blessings on him. He always reminded people that CH “UR” Ch you are the Church. He also worked for Northern Kentucky Transit Authority as a driver and in the maintenance dept. He held many other jobs in his younger years from working in a candy factory to Magnus Metal working as a foreman with a shift of deaf people. Once again, a reflection of his skills of getting along with people. Bob Tomlinson will be missed so much!! Words could not begin to describe the magnitude, but we are sure, that if he could say one thing to us all is Hebrews 9:27 it is appointed unto man once to die, and after death the judgement, so Please be ready!!! Be assured I was! I’ll meet you in Glory just beyond the Eastern Gate overthere!!
