Joyce Dawn Gilbert Ozepy of Erlanger KY,passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday March 13th 2022,at St.Elizabeth Medical Center. She was the widow of Leonard Guy Ozepy. Joyce was born in Rochester, NY,on Sept 17,1943 to the late Oadas Hummel,and Irene Faye Hummel. Joyce is survived by her 5 children,David Hummel of Cincinnati,Daniel Hummel of Cincinnati,Steve Gilbert (Tanya) of Florence KY, Shannon Gilbert of Burlington KY,and Mike Ozepy of Erlanger KY. She is also survived by her sister Susan Harp of Hamilton Oh,and brother James Hummel of Ludlow KY. Joyce has 8 grandchildren, Anthony Hummel, Samantha Hummel,Breanna Gilbert, Madison Gilbert,Jade Hummel,Daniel Hummel, Elizabeth Hummel,Ryan Hummel,and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces,nephews,and extended family. In addition to to her husband Lenny,and both her parents,she is preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Marcum,brother,Roger Hummel,and 3 great grandsons. Joyce was a homemaker who loved to take care of her family. She cared for her husband Lenny after he became ill,and her Mother Irene for 23 yrs,after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She had a huge heart, loved watching her grandchildren,and great grandchildren. She loved doing volunteer work at the bingo halls, where her husband was the bingo caller. She also volunteered with StoreHouse Ministries. Joyce's most important job was being the best Mom in the world to her children,and loving grandma to her grandchildren. Joyce will be cremated per her wishes,and a Celebration of Life will be planned in her honor.
