Obituary of Theodore T Reynolds
Please share a memory of Theodore to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Theodore Terrel “Ted” Reynolds passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with family close by. Ted was born on February 26, 1947, in San Diego, California. Raised as an only child, he was the epitome of a jack-of-all trades. Ted spent time as an Army mechanic, scaffolder, pallet builder, tattoo artist, handy-man, and most importantly, a dad and grandpa. In his free time, Ted liked to draw, build model cars, support his grandchildren in ALL of their extracurriculars, attend rock concerts, eat lots of Mexican food (with a Corona and lime of course) and talk about his cat, Lucky. He never passed up the opportunity to indulge in sweets (and Lays potato chips.) Ted will be remembered as a cat-loving, heavy metal-listening, family-supporting, model car-collecting, NASCAR-watching, Big Bang Theory connoisseur and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s biggest fans. Although Ted faced plenty of adversity during his time here, you couldn’t catch him without a smile. Ted was able to talk to you about anything and everything. His family always joked that he knew more useless information than anyone. He always put his family first and he was always a constant when it came to giving support. In his later years, he moved to Kentucky to be closer to his family, and that’s where he stayed for 24 years. Ted always said he wanted to live long enough for his grandchildren to remember him, and he surpassed his goal by being a staple in his great-grandchildren’s lives. Ted was proceeded in death by his mother, Norma Lucier, and father, Alvin Reynolds. He is survived by his children, Blaine (Tina), Eric (Ellie), grandchildren Jeremy, Corey, Hayley (Sean), Sarah, Oscar and great-grandchildren Scarlett and Abrianna. His family finds peace in knowing that he has been reunited with Lucky, his trusty sidekick. There is not going to be a funeral service. A private celebration of life will be held in the coming days. The family asks that if you would like to honor Ted, listen to a Led Zeppelin song today. We can imagine right about now Ted is listening to one of his favorite rock-and-roll songs, Stairway to Heaven.
