Obituary of Gary Heuser

Gary Heuser of Covington KY, 76, passed away on August 23, 2022. He was surrounded by love and family members as he took his last breath in the St. Elizabeth Hospital of Edgewood. Gary was an incredibly strong man, always able to power through and come back from the toughest trials and tribulations. He was born on September 5, 1946, son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Pressler) Heuser. Gary is survived by his wife Debbie (Trinkler) Heuser; his sons and daughters, Greg (Michele) Heuser, Kim (Ken) Heinzelman, Tammy (Josh) Gerdes, Jake Bowman, and Rusty Bowman; his brothers, Bob (Dianne) Heuser and Steve (Barb) Heuser, and countless other loved ones. Preceded in Death Misty Lohouse, Katie Heuser, and Michael Lohouse. After graduating Simon Kenton High School, he went on to serve his country as a military policeman (MP) in Vietnam, serving in Germany for 2 years. Upon his return from service, he made a living by driving a truck for Budweiser. Years later, he met his wife Debbie in which they shared just shy of 40 years together. After retirement, you would most likely have found Gary hunting, traveling, on a boat waiting for a bite, or camping. He was also an extremely avid, talented pool and bowling player so much so that he was on a bowling team known as the “Dream Team.” Aside from hobbies, spending time with his children and grandchildren was one of his favorite things to do. He loved to sit and chat with friends and family. He had an extremely silly and goofy personality. Any and everyone who knew Gary could feel his big heart and giving nature. Gary was kind and had a great sense of humor, always cracking a joke making an entire room smile and laugh. He was a proud man who was respected by many. He was a man of dignity, bravery, courage, and unwavering strength. Gary loved his family, his wife, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. He took great pride in the accomplishments of his kids and grandkids. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. A celebration of his life will be held at Don Catchen and Son Funeral Home, 3525 Dixie Hwy, Elsmere, KY 41018, on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org/, Congenital Heart Alliance of Cincinnati, https://www.chaoc.org/donate/. or the American Diabetes Association, https://diabetes.org. The family would like to sincerely thank any hospitals and staff that assisted Gary in his many stays. They would also like to thank any family, friends, and peers that reached out to send condolences. Gary was larger than life, he will be deeply missed by so many.
